March 14 1842 Broad Hinton The WILL of John Hacker Deceased. THIS WILL was proved at Sarum on the 14th day of March 1842 before the George Lewes Benson Clerk L. L. B. lawful surrogate of the Reverend and Worshipful William Macdonald, Clerk, Master of Arts, Archdeacon of the Archdeaconry of Wilts, And by him, Administration of all and singular the Goods and Chattels of the said Deceased, and any ways concerning his Will was committed unto John Hacker the Sole Executor named wherein (being first duly Sworn by virtue of a commission of the truth of the said Will, and faithfully to perform the same, and to pay the Decease's Debts and Legacies as far forth as his Goods and Chattels will thereto extend and the Law bind him, and to exhibit a true and perfect Inventory of the Goods, Chattels, and Credits of the Deceased, and yield a just and true Accompt when lawfully required) saving the Rights of all Persons. Davies Registrar This is the last Will and Testament of John Hacker, of Broad Hinton, in the County of Wilts, Taylor, being through the blessing of God, in a sound state of mind and memory, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, that is to say, principally and first of all, I recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it to me, and the disposal of my body I leave to the entire discretion of my sole Executor hereinafter mentioned. With respect to my worldly estate, I give, bequeath and dispose of it in the manner and proportions here following. First, I give and bequeath to my dearly beloved wife, Sarah, for her natural life, all that my Copyhold[?] Houses or Tenements, With all my Household Furniture, and such interest Money as may be in my possession at the time of my death. And after the decease of Sarah my wife, I give and devise in the following manner. I give and devise to my son Benjamin Hacker, the sum of Thirty Pounds, lawful money of Great Britain. I give and devise to my son Henry Hacker, the sum of Thirty Pounds, lawful money of Great Britain. I give and devise to my son James Hacker, the sum of Thirty Pounds, lawful money of Great Britain. I give and devise to my daughter Elizabeth Hacker (Spinster), the sum of Thirty Pounds, lawful money of Great Britain. I give and devise to my daughter Sarah Hacker (Spinster), the sum of Thirty Pounds, lawful money of Great Britain. Also, I give to my three Grand Children, Son of the Late Thomas Hacker of London (namely) Thomas, James and Elizabeth Ann, the Sum of Ten Pound each, which Sum to be paid by my Executor herein after mentioned when the youngest mentioned shall attain Twenty one Years of Age. Finally, I give and devise unto my much beloved son, John Hacker, whom I make my sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, a full Right to live and reside, with my said Sarah, my wife, with right to my Household Goods and Chattels as his own; and at the decease of Sarah my Wife, I give and devise to my son John Hacker, all and singular my Messuages, Tenements and funded property, with the exceptions made in favour of my dearly beloved Children, all of whom I recommend unto his most especial solice. And I do hereby utterly disallow, revoke and disannul all and every other former testaments, wills, legacies, bequests and Executors by me in any way before named, willed, and bequeathed; satisfying and confirming this, and no other, to be my last will and Testament.
